Improve training and recruitment efforts in the police force with a specific focus on de-escalation tactics, and more stringent criteria for entry level enforcement
Improve community relationships and transparency amongst the WRPS by sponsoring municipal events and regional meet & greets with local officers/staff
Increase funding to acquire better resources and equipment for a heavier presence of officers in the region
Crime has been increasing in the region, and the rate at which crimes are solved has been decreasing. Our communities have become soft on crime and police are not equipped with the resources or training to deal with growingly sensitive situations - we must improve training while also increasing the presence of police activity to discourage crime.
